1) wow is the game over already? Or will we have another evening in the tavern? It's barely begun, we are just getting our feet wet, testing the waters, and getting a little back story going. I do believe all OOC stuff is here in this thread. Yeah pretty much Then make your way to the Tavern if you would like to begin your part, if not wait until you feel the need to enter the tale.

I am so beneath yalls abilities, I have all these things in my head but it's hard for me to put em on screen, can't find the proper words most the time. Anywho, yeah prepare for battle witch.

Cath
as GM I need to know via PM what your characters are all about,
Amowien cast detect evil, this spell doesn't fail, this means you are evil, being level one he called apon his town folks for help.
If its a NPC quest giver type I need to be aware of it because it will take the story into different places that it wasn't intended to go.
I'm pretty sure no matter what quest you throw at me, and what actions I take, I will fail, you are tons better at writing then I am, so all you have to do is what you do best to best me in game.
I thought it was very funny, but for some reason now I get the feeling that you are here to give my character a hard time and nothing more, ala the real life reference.
Honestly, I am thinking someone with better skills should head this up, any volunteers?

No pally keep going. Its just started and we are all learning the way together. Thats why i do think we should have scene threads though. That way each of us can respond to a certain scene without distrubing the action for the other characters.
Of course at the moment we are still messing around but once we leave the tavern we can set it up correctly. If this doesnt work here...and the interest is real i will get with you pally and set up a board just for the serious players to create a story.

Not sure I have what it takes to run multiple plots and such. Amowien wasn't going to have a very big role in the tale because I have to do the story and the NPC's. Now with the added stories from others ( which I like by the way, not complaining at all about that ) I don't think I can run it properly. A better story teller is needed me thinks.

So don't run multiple plots. Without a GM there is no game so the Golden Rule is whatever makes your life easier (aside from just killing all the PCs) is good. When you are ready, go back to your original plan...pull one of the stock adventures off the web and run folks through. If you want, replace one of the treasures with something that moves the Borias sub-plot a step forward. It's just another plot hook to use to string pre-canned adventures together. Or not. A player can't impose a plot on a GM that he doesn't want to explore...especially if it requires dragging a half dozen strangers along for no particularly good reason. If the backstory was we were all from the same villiage, Martin would be inclined to help Borias out on GPs since we'd all know each other and grew up together. As is, he's a stanger whom he doesn't even know the name of. Not his concern even if he might feel sympathy for Borias' mom. After they save each other's lives a couple times and the group gells, Borias can more reasonably ask folks to go after whomever...plus it gives you time to figure out who they are and how you want to play them. Whatever happens we can either push forward with what we learned or reset because the game mechanics didn't translate well to the online format and start anew with the same characters. Its a learning experience for all of us. We can tinker as we go and if you want a break someone else can run the next adventure. Vinea PS Rather than killing Amowien, just have him go hunting after Cath...there are plenty of PCs now and I don't think we need a party NPC if it would be taxing for you.

Cath is not an issue to Amowien, he doesn't waste his time on whores.
but yeah, I'm pretty much done here, we can do this on another site far far away from the evils of this place.

I agree V --i think borias is just setting up his backstory like an introduction to the GM. No further will come of it if the GM takes the story else where..Good future hooks is all.

Relax pally give it a few hours to think---dont say anything rash I am relaxed, I would just not rather give me free time to a board that holds a grudge and is bent on disrupting something innocent and fun. This board started as a place to go when tazoon went to shit, another board will replace this one now that it has gone to shit. No big deal really............

OK lets wrap up the first night in the Salty Dog, talk to the patrons, meet your fellow adventures, and maybe see what kind of work Oswald has in mind.
