It has become the biggest farce ever in the history of the United States.
"Stop Trump! Vote Hillary!" "Stop Hillary! Vote Trump!"
We're not voting for who we want to lead us anymore. We're voting to STOP someone from leading us. This isn't democracy.
I expect that the third party candidates are going to clean up this year. They won't win, of course, because the system is intentionally rigged against them, but they are going to hit staggeringly high numbers this time around, I predict. Wouldn't surprise me if they hit 30% of the popular vote. 20% for Gary Johnson, and 10% for Jill Stein. All because both primary party candidates are so obviously and shamefully bad.
One thing is for sure, though. The current two-party system and the establishment is on its last legs. In one or two cycles, at most, it is going to change drastically.
Another big loser in the years to come? Lamestream media. People are waking up to the fact they they are being manipulated and lied to constantly.

I couldn't agree more that in all my years of political junkiedom I've never seen BOTH parties simultaneously offer up such despicable candidates. Oh sure, in the past each party has nominated horrible candidates for the presidency (e.g., McGovern in '72, Dole in '96), but never in my lifetime have both parties given the voters a choice between bad and worse.
Were the election held tomorrow, I believe I would leave the top of the ballot blank and simply cast my vote for down ballot candidates.

Woohoo! Yay for the brick-it vote! Gotta love it! I think I will buy an automatic popcorn popper with a 4-years' supply of kernels, and sit back to watch the most penultimate train wreck in all of human history.

Trump's 200 day plan: Destroy US economy, Ruin US credit, Abandon US allies, Fill Government posts with cronies, Prop Up White Supremacists. If it wasn't real, I'd say it was a joke... that it would be followed with....... Step 3 Profit!

..and the show must go on!
Let's have a look at his current cabinet, shall we?
Secretary of State - Rex Tillerson, CEO of ExxonMobil Secretary of Education - Betsy DeVos, made her billions in Amway, believes public education should all be privatized. Secretary of Energy - Rick "Sorry, I forgot what department I would shut down that I will end up managing in a few years. Oops" Perry Treasury Secretary - Steve Mnuchin, Former Goldman "Look, ma, I crashed the world economy!" Sachs Executive Chief Strategist - Steve Bannon of "Fake News" outlet Breitbart. As if Breitbart himself wasn't bad enough, but at least he had the decency to die off before he could do too much damage. Secretary of HUD - Ben Carson, ex-embarassing presidential contender, brilliant Neurosurgeon, and little else. Chief of Staff - Reince Priebus, Just previously, REPUBLICAN NATIONAL COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN. Heh. Yeah, tell me how this isn't the heart and soul of the Republican Party. I dares ya.
None of these morons has any qualifications for these posts, except for one: Since the ultimate goal of Republicans is to destroy the parts of government they don't like (which is most of them), putting their own demolition squad in makes perfect sense.
Yeah, Trump is really draining that swamp, except he set MegaMaid to blow instead of suck; more like he's draining his balls into the mouths of his voters. "Sad!"
Yes, the Republican Zeitgeist reveals itself in all its horrific and intellectually/morally-bankrupt glory.
The meme for Trump's Presidency: "My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
