The navigation computer beeped insistantly as the ship ploughed through hyperspace. The old Corellian YT-1300 stock light frieghter was a ship built to last, at least thats what it's captain thought or hoped.
Omid pulled himself up from out of the service hatch he would have jumped back if he could as he notice the towering bulk of Raishe squating near the maintenance hatch. His scarred and pitted face wrinkled with a little difficulty in what Omid hope was a grin. He thought for such an obvious guy he was awefully light footed but he was glad for his trusted friend to be along on this trip for sure. Omid wasn't sure but he had a bad feeling about this.
The young Captain recalled as the message was hand delievered by a stern dangerous looking muscle bound man. He had watched the holo recording with interest.
The slim raven haired woman wearing an Imperial uniform smiled back from the holo recording,
'Omid, its been to long' her sultry voice conjoured warm feelings he thought were long lost for this past love, Dana.
'I wouldn't be contacting you if this wasn't serious' the warmth left the young rebels face 'The Empire have been making moves to wrap up old problamatic ties with the remenants of the old Republic. One of there major concerns is old anti Imperial sentimented people returning to the fray. I know this is startling but i think they found Ador Tallon.'
Omid's eyes grew wide as history lessons flooded back to him. Ador Tallon was a prominant and superflous tactition for the Republic but he mysteriously dissapeared during the clone wars as well as some trusted allies. Many said he had died but many also knew he was a strong objector to Palpatines moves and the slaughter of the jedi at his hands as well as his chief murderer...Vader.
So to the possibility that he was alive would certainly swell the ranks of the Rebels as they mustered to an old Generals banner, certainly to one of this distinction.
The young woman paused almost if knowing the other ends mental calculations.
'Omid I know...I know this is difficult but you're the only one i trust with this sensitive data. I am still in the process of gathering it but I need you to come to meet me on Kween Space station' the rebel spy implored Omid 'You know where to find me. Maybe after all this we can...talk. See you soon'
Omid brought himself back to present he accepted Raishe's hand and pulled him up with ease.
'So were nearly there huh, our 'friends' weren't to implicit about what was going on but said you would find out at destinations end. Raishe was a forward scout for Rebel sources and he made no beef about which side he was on. But he had been in very dangerous teritory before and had always managed to elude capture and pursuit. He had been friends with Omid for years and the two often worked together. Despite Raishe's battle scarred body he had a heart of gold.
Omid's other current passenger was his message deliverer. Daerion was quite in the way that worried most people. His stocky powerful build added to this vision. Though he had come on good credentials he was someone to be watched...carefully.
The nav computer beeped more insistantly. The Captain went and sat in his chair at the controls and flipped some switches and checked the readouts. Raishe sat back and watched the smuggler do his job. The cockpit door opened to admit Daerion.
'How much longer to Kween Space Station'
Omid raised an eyebrow as this was one of the longest sentences the fighter had said. He must be warming up to me a bit he thought ruefully.
'Five minutes to exiting hyperspace'
The time passed slowly and then the ships navigation beeped and several screens came to life.
'Here we go' Omid pulled back the ships hyperspace levers and swirling blue lines of hyperspace stretched thin and turned black, pin pricked with the dots of stars twinkling in the curtain of space.
Ahead the round disc of Kween space station winked with flashing beacons. Its belly had a deep broad skirt to dock the largest of ships. Around the circumferance over a hundered docking bays permited the enterance of smaller stock light frieghters. A number of small frieghters passed by going away from the collosal mid way station.
Omid ducked the ship underneath a large cargo hauler and gave the crew a full view of the underside of the station.
'This can't be good' all eyes were locked on the Star Destroyed berthed in Kween's belly.
'Correlian YT-1300 transport follow the docking beacon to Kween docking bay 38 where you will be inspected. Deviation will result in your termination, Star Destroyer Relentless out' an official Imperial voice barked at them from the communications terminal.
'Friendly bunch', Raishe mirthed.
'Sith spawn' Omid returned.
Daerion looked up coldly as the stocklight frieghter swooped up towards the station. His knuckles whitining around the hilt of his vibroblade...
(the screen wipes left to right and reveals a busy desert planet city)
Ruewen pulled her hood lower and passed through the busy thoroughfair. Tatooines twin suns beat mercilessly down as people carried on with there everyday affairs. The young woman kept to the tight allyways to make the most of the shadows. She worked her way towards Mos Eislys only half decent cantina. Instead of going to the front door she went down a side ally and went through the back door. The soft music washed around her as she entered the dinjy establishment.
This town was unusually packed with the worst sorts well more than usual. Bounty Hunters, mercenaries and soldiers of fortune lurked around every corner and haunted many esteblishments. Words buzzed around and the name 'Ador Tallon' was spoken in hushed whispers.
She mused 'I hope Dana was right about me coming here. She was very insistant about it. I hope i can do some good here and find out where Tallon is before they do.' Ruewen knew all to well who Ador Tallon was and the impact he could make for the Rebellion.
'Now lets see what i can do'
She gazed around the numerous races intermingled here, locals and forigners alike.
An armored Bounty hunter moved through the throng which almost parted for him.
'Ahh bantha podo!' the young Rebel intoned.
What to do?
