I was on Greybriar Wed. 10/30 from 3-5 PST/Server time, with no problems like that. As you've probably read, some players had up to 10k !!! items on the AH, which brought it to it's figurative knees; now limits are far lower, and as the items time out the AH should return to normal.
The patch did cause me a problem. I had to drop my firewall to log in, which I hate to do even very briefly. FW down for <1 minute, but even so... Let's see if it happens tomorrow.

Loading screen every few seconds?? Ar? Why..would that be?
How does population make you have more loading screens? I'm so confused now...

My guess is that there are too many people around and the game flashes the loading screen while trying to load assets. Its odd, but that's the only time I've ever seen it happen (when there's tons of players around).

Not sure if anyone is playing this still (other than me), but the 2.7 (or 2.8, I forget) patch released some new souls. You can now have a Tank Mage, DPS Cleric, etc. New crafting class called Dream Weaver (something related to Dimensions, I haven't explored it yet) and lots of raids/dungeons and stuff.
Still having a blast with the game. Almost have my third character to level 60.

I got tired of grinding for rep, and I don't raid, so I'm taking a hiatus until 3.0. Popping in often enough to maintain guild membership.
Off playing with an old friend in WoW; I never got a char past 41 before, but having a good time with a Pandarin monk, now 32. Leveling there is far easier than it used to be, at least at lower levels. I'm frequently struck by how simple and unsophisticated WoW is after Rift. Rift's game mechanics, interface, etc. are a level or two deeper and are more complete and polished.

Yea, thats what one of my former co-workers said after I got him hooked on Rift. He played WoW for 6 years and said he felt like Rift was WoW 2.0 or something, that is was everything WoW was but with another layer or two of depth and complexity.
I don't Raid either. I've mostly been exploring every nook and cranny of the world, earning planar attunement points, and trying to upgrade my equipment using infinity stones.

Expansion due out this week. Not sure if I'm looking forward to it or not. Wasn't really fond of the underwater content.
