*Rothgar pounders the young mans words for a moment, he pulls the parchment closer so that he could examine it in better light.*
" Yes, I know of this symbol, but it has been quite some time since I have laid mine eyes apon it. "
" Borias, it has been many a years since your mother was taken, tell me, what possible hope do you have at finding her or her captures? "

Aurora is still sitting at her table, trying to make her ale last whilst watching the events unfold in the tavern. Curiosity had her watching Rothgar and company at their table. Judging by their solemn expressions and hushed voices, they had something of great importance - at least to them - to discuss.
It was the other events that caught her attention, however. Martin's drunken bravado had almost made her laugh out loud, and it probably would have done if Borias hadn't take it so personally. He looked like the type of person who wouldn't take kindly to being laughed at.
Rue's embarassment had also brought a smile to her lips, although it was more of a sympathetic smile. Aurora had seen Martin's little sleight of hand and knew that the young woman had to be feeling a little embarrassed by now. She glanced over to the table near the door where Rue had gone to sulk and smiled to herself. Maybe it would be a good time to make a friendly gesture.
She picked up her pack and her ale and walked over to the table where Rue sat nursing her drink. When she got there, she slid into a seat opposite Rue and dipped her hand into her pack, then reached over and dropped something into Rue's lap
"Don't worry," she grinned "They're clean. Figured it might get a little draughty for you without some."

It is a matter of honor plain and simple, she only went to save my father from harm and now i have a chance to do what i can, i must try.'

Rue takes the offerings with pink cheeks flushed. “What do I owe you?” Realizing she was unprepared for such a kindness upon her she feels suddenly foolish. Just as she feels the color creeping up her face she sees the commotion taking place between Rothgars companion and a new patron who had entered the tavern unexpectedly. She quickly grabs Auroras arm and motions her to the back wall near the kitchen as they watch the proceedings take place.

Aurora ponders for a moment. Her purse was light and pooling resources to share a room would help that. And despite a feeling that being friends with Rue might lead her into more trouble than she was running from, Aurora couldn't help but like the young woman's sheer tenacity.
"That would be great," she said with a grin.

After a night of partying, Martin wanders back up to his room...oddly he doesn't seem to be quite as drunk as earlier.

Rue wakes up refreshed in spite of the heavy snoring of Aurora. After a quick sponge off of dirt she leaves a note for Aurora stating she is going to talk with Oswald about some work. Heading down the stairs she spots Oswald cleaning up from the active night.
She approaches in a cheery manner “Morning Oswald. Would you be needing a hand with anything? Ive experience with tavern work and can easily get that floor sparkling like new wood. “

Aurora wakes, yawns and stretches. She finds Rue's note and reads it, thinking that finding work might be a good idea for herself also. She washes and dresses quickly, and is about to leave the room when there is a knock at the door.
Aurora opens the door to see one of Oswald's serving girls standing there.
"If you please, ma'am," the girl says, holding out a folded piece of paper, "A gentleman left this."
"What gentleman? Someone who was in the tavern last night?" Aurora asks as she takes the note.
"No ma'am," the girl replied, "This gentleman rode up while I was sweeping out the tavern floor this morning. Said to give it to you right away."
Aurora thanked the girl and closed the door. The paper had been stamped across the fold and her heart began to beat a little faster as she recognised the stamp. How did they know where she was?
She read the note and heaved a heavy sigh. Would she never be free of this? She had to go, and quickly. Maybe they knew where she was now, but she could lose herself very quickly in the woods. Very quickly indeed.
Aurora scribbled a short note to Rue, explaining that she had to leave at once, and left it, with the coins for half of the room rent, on the dresser. Then she grabbed her cloak and pack and clambered out of the window and into the branches of a nearby oak.
[ooc see ooc thread for reasons - I figure this way it could be left open for return at some point or to be used in the plot somewhere]

" *Oswald cuts the young lady off before she can answer* " Good good........ work ya say? " " Aye, I be having a bit of a rodent problem in me basement, be willing to part wit a few coins fer your purse if ya help Ole Oswald out." * Oswald winks at the young lady, this time the wink seems to be a bit more mischievous. * " Feel it my duty to warn ya, you'll need more then a mouse trap to handle these critters. " * Oswald goes about his business cleaning up the mess from the night before. *

The sound of the everyday life in the inn brought Borias out of his slumber. He stretched fully enjoying the first he had lain in a month. The young raven haired man poured cold water from earthern ware jug into the a large bowl. He proceded methodically to wash himself his mind free to wander over last nights events. He questioned Rothgar's motives but deemed himself fit to play along till he knew his true purpose. He dabbed down his traveling clothes making them as presentable as time allowed and he dressed including donning his black mail shirt and leggings and he wraped his cloak around him once more and packed up his belongings and decended the well worn steps as he greeted another days journey.

But he will stagger downstairs around lunch time.
